Shan Masood likely to quit captaincy after Bangladesh defeat

DHAKA: Pakistan Test cricket team captain Shan Masood is upset with the defeat against Bangladesh.

According to sources, the Test captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Shan Masood, is likely to resign.

Shan Masood is facing severe criticism as a captain, he became the captain of the Pakistan Test team in December 2023.

Under the leadership of Shan Masood, Pakistan played 16 Tests, out of which they won only 4 Tests and were defeated in 12.

It should be noted that Bangladesh has defeated Pakistan in the second Test as well, the host team won the 2-match Test series 2-0.

In the second match played in Sylhet, the Pakistan team could score 358 runs in pursuit of a target of 437 runs and thus the visiting team suffered a defeat by 78 runs in the second Test.
