ANKARA: Earthquake tremors have been felt in the border area of Turkiye and Syria on Wednesday, according to media reports.
According to Arab media reports, the earthquake’s magnitude was recorded at 5.6 on the Richter scale. The tremors were felt in the border and surrounding areas, causing panic among citizens, who came out of their homes.
According to initial reports, no casualties or financial losses have been reported from the earthquake.
It should be remembered that the Turkey and Syria region has been hit by severe earthquakes in the past as well.
