Super Eight line-up finalized in ICC T20 World Cup

COLOMBO: Pakistan secured a convincing 102-run victory over Namibia on Wednesday, completing the lineup for the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. With this win, Pakistan joins the top eight teams advancing from the group stage.

The T20 World Cup 2026 features 20 teams competing across India and Sri Lanka. After the group stage, 12 teams have been eliminated, while the eight strongest sides move on to the Super 8.

The last group stage match between Australia and Oman is scheduled for February 20, with the Super 8 stage beginning on February 21.

Super 8 Teams:

  • Group 1: India, South Africa, West Indies, Zimbabwe
  • Group 2: Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand

Pakistan’s Super 8 schedule:

  • February 21: vs New Zealand
  • February 24: vs England
  • February 28: vs Sri Lanka

Pakistan’s strong performance in the group stage has raised expectations as the team now prepares for tough competition in the Super 8 stage.
