DHAKA: Three more directors resigned from their posts in a single day due to the intensity of the ongoing internal crisis in the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
After this development, the anxiety and uncertainty in the affairs of the board have increased further.
According to media reports, Fayyaz-ur-Rehman resigned from his post immediately after a long board meeting held in Dhaka, shortly after which Shanyan Tanim and Mehrab Alam Chowdhury also resigned from their posts. After these recent resignations, the number of directors who have resigned in the last 6 months has reached 6.
The board’s media chairman says that there was no formal discussion on these resignations during the meeting, the members who resigned have given personal reasons as the basis, however, according to sources, the discussion in the recent meeting and internal affairs of the board may be the possible reason for this sudden decision.
On the other hand, the government is also investigating the affairs of the cricket board and the recent elections, due to which the situation has become more complicated.
