MUMBAI: After former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, India’s leading international umpire Anil Chaudhary has also declared Pakistani spinner Usman Tariq’s bowling action correct.

Before the important match between Pakistan and India on Sunday in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, there is an extraordinary debate in the Indian media and social media about the Pakistani spin attack, especially the action of Usman Tariq.

Unjustified objections are being raised by Indian circles about Usman Tariq’s bowling action; however, experts and umpires have rejected these concerns.

After former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, now an Indian umpire, Anil Chaudhary, while speaking on an Indian digital program, also clarified that Usman Tariq’s action is completely correct.

According to Anil Chaudhary, Usman Tariq bowls every ball with his own style and routine, and as long as he continues to bowl in the same style, no problem will arise.

Anil Chaudhary further said that the problem can arise when Usman Tariq bowls differently from his usual action. If there is a clear change in his action, then the batter will have the right to approach the umpire.

Giving examples from the past, he said that many international players were stopped when they bowled differently from their routine action. However, since Usman Tariq bowls all the balls in the same style, there is no room for objection against him.

According to Anil Chaudhry, if at any point the batter refuses to play the ball and the umpire feels that the bowler is bowling according to his routine action, then in such a case the batter can be given a warning for wasting time.
