LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will hold a final consultation for the Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup and the home series against Australia this week.
According to sources, head coach Mike Hesson is expected to arrive in Lahore at the end of the Sri Lanka tour.
The members of the national T20 squad are returning home today after playing the series in Sri Lanka. Head coach Mike Hesson and captain Salman Ali Agha will have final consultations with the selectors.
Sources say that after the consultation is completed, the squad will be announced with the approval of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
The PCB has sent the initial names for the T20 World Cup to the ICC.
Before January 31, the PCB can change the names without the permission of the ICC.
According to sources, the possible players include captain Salman Ali Agha, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Muhammad Nawaz, Usman Khan, and Abrar Ahmed.
The names of Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Salman Mirza, and Khawaja Nafay are also among the possible players, while Abdul Samad, Muhammad Wasim Junior, and Usman Tariq can be included in the reserve players.
