LAHORE: Former captain Younis Khan is likely to get important responsibilities in the PCB.

The legendary batsman has offered his services for the betterment of cricket after being contacted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Younis Khan’s name is also included in the proposed list as the new director domestic of the PCB.

Like Sarfaraz Ahmed and Misbah-ul-Haq, the board is also keen to take advantage of Younis Khan’s services for further improvement in cricket matters.

With more than 10,000 runs in 118 Test matches, Younis Khan, who has represented the country in 265 ODI matches and 25 T20 matches, has also been the coach of the national team in the past.

PCB officials had formally contacted Younis Khan a few days ago, to which he expressed his availability.

Only if matters are settled can the formal announcement of Younis Khan’s appointment be made after the approval of Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
