Ufone announces planned maintenance on submarine cable, possible service disruptions

ISLAMABAD: Ufone has informed its customers about a scheduled maintenance activity on one of its submarine cables to repair a faulty repeater, here on Monday.

The maintenance is set to begin on October 14, 2025, at approximately 11 AM PST and may last up to 18 hours. During this period, customers may experience service degradation. Ufone apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates customers’ understanding.

While earlier, the PTCL spokesperson has also said that the international consortium has issued a schedule for the repair of the repeater installed in the cable.
