Islamabad: Former Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry says that he made a mistake by severing ties with the establishment on the advice of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In an interview with an international media agency on Wednesday, when he was asked if he was still in touch with the army, he laughed and replied, “They beat us senseless, what contacts will there be now?”

The former federal minister added, “We made a huge mistake by following Khan’s advice to sever all contact with them [the establishment]. Had we continued our correspondence, there would have been no miscommunication.”

Chaudhry then explained that there was someone who was telling Imran Khan that they were going to kill him. Similarly, someone was telling them that Imran Khan is going to finish you.

Fawad Chaudhry said that when people like us lost contact with the establishment. Our misunderstandings increased.
