PESHAWAR: KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Friday announced to reduce 35 percent quota for government employees following hike in petrol.
CM’s Secretariat issued later, a 35% cut has been imposed on the use of petrol in government institutions across the province.
The decision will be applicable to government agencies, institutions and organizations, while the letter forwarded to Chief Secretary.
The letter stated that the increase in prices of petroleum products would reduce the financial pressure on the treasury.
“Overburdening the treasury means overburdening the masses,” he said and announced that a 35 percent cut in fuel quota will be applied to the chief minister, ministers and government officials.

CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah also ordered to cut fuel quota by 40 percent for Chief Minister, provincial ministers and other government officials.
CM Murad while announcing a cut on fuel quota said that the prices of petrol products have gone up while overburdening the treasury means overburdening the masses.
