Islamabad weather forecast: Heavy rainfall expected in next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: Heavy rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, struck Islamabad, providing relief from the intense heat providing some relief from the previous heat and humidity.

The downpour, which began early in the morning, caused disruptions in daily life, including the accumulation of rainwater in low-lying areas and traffic congestion on the Islamabad Expressway.

Temperatures dropped significantly, from 32°C to 26°C. Whereas the humidity ranges up to 82%, the air is moving in the northwest direction at the speed of 18km/h.

The air quality has improved due to the recent rainfall in the federal capital. PMD has forecasted up to an 80% chance of rain in the next 24 hours.

Moreover,  the Met Office has forecast more rain, windstorms, and thundershowers over the next twelve hours, with heavy rainfall expected in isolated areas of Northeast Punjab, Potohar Region, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir.
