Karachi weather: Light rain, winds forecasted for port city

KARACHI: The Paki­stan Meteorological Depart­ment (PMD) has predicted pleasant weather with light rain in most districts of the Sindh province during the next 24 hours.

Rainfall is predicted in Thar Parkar and Umar Kot districts tonight or tonight, as per the weather forecast.

Sindh’s coastal strip, encompassing Karachi, may get rain on Thursday night/evening. Thar Parkar, Umar Kot, Mithi, Sanghar, and Mirpur Khas districts are expected to get rain along with gusty winds and thunderstorms tomorrow evening or night.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast probable rain in Kashmir, Islamabad, northern Punjab, and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with heavy winds and thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday too.

Met Office has also predicted heavy to very heavy rain at a few locations during the wet spell. South Punjab areas may also be hit by rain with heavy winds and thunderstorms.

South Punjab, eastern Sindh and south Baluchistan to get probable rain with gusty winds and thunderstorm on Thursday, says the weather forecast.
