Karachi weather: Light drizzle expected in port city

KARACHI: The Paki­stan Meteorological Depart­ment (PMD) has predicted pleasant yet dry weather in most districts of the Sindh province during the next 24 hours; however, citizens are set to experience pre-monsoon rains from today.

Today, Karachi experienced mainly dry weather, with temperatures ranging from 39°C to 30°C. The humidity in the city varies up to 62%, and the air is moving in the northwest direction at a speed of 23 km/h.

According to the Met Office’s latest predictions, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain, winds/thunderstorms (light snowfall over the mountains) are expected at isolated places in Upper Khyber  Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
