LAHORE: The residents of the provincial capital are set to witness partly cloudy weather with light cold air prevailing in the capital as the winter season begins in Pakistan.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas.

The Met Office stated that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. Depression over westcentral & adjoining northwest of the Arabian Sea now lies as a well-marked low-pressure area.

It is likely to move east-southeastwards over the same region and further gradually weaken into a low-pressure area.
