LAHORE: Significant monsoon rains and gusty winds are forecasted for Lahore and various parts of Punjab starting from today to August 18. The residents of Lahore will experience oderate to heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
The maximum temperature to be observed will range up to 34 degrees Celcius, whereas the minimum temperatures anticipated ranges between 24 to 26 degrees Celcius.
The humidy level increases up to 78%, the air is moving in the southwest direction at the speed of 24 km/h.
Moreover, PMD forecasts 61% chances of precipitation in the next 24 hours.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are advancing into central and southern Pakistan and are expected to reach the upper parts of the country tonight.
Additionally, under these conditions, monsoon rains and gusty winds are anticipated in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, and Faisalabad.
Heavy rainfall is also possible in Murree, Galliyat, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Hafizabad.
