LAHORE: The citizens of the provincial capital are witnessing monsoon wave in the provincial capital. Scattered rains are predicted in Lahore and parts of Punjab.
According to the Meteorological Department (PMD), low pressure lies over lower Sindh, and is likely to move westwards during the next 12 to 18 hours. Due to this weather system, strong monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in southern half of the country. A shallow westerly wave is also affecting the upper & central parts of the country.
Widespread rain-windstorm/thundershower (with scattered heavyfalls, at times very heavy) is expected in Sindh and northeast/south Balochistan.
However, partly cloudy weather with rain-wind/thundershower is expected at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
