Severe cold wave to hit northern regions, NDMA warns
ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert of a severe cold wave in the northern areas and northern Balochistan.
According to the spokesperson (NDMA), severe cold will continue in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region.
Severe cold is also likely to persist in northern Balochistan, and the intensity of cold is expected to increase significantly in Quetta, Ziarat, and Kalat.
The alert states that due to severe cold, respiratory diseases may increase, so citizens should be careful.
There is a possibility of damage to crops due to severe cold. Caution should be exercised while traveling in the morning due to possible severe fog in plain areas
