Weather update: Cold, dry weather to continue in most parts of country

ISLAMABAD: According to the latest weather forecast, the weather will remain cold and dry in most areas, while severe cold is expected in the mountainous areas. The Meteorological Department says that light rain and snowfall may also occur in some specific areas.

The Meteorological Department has also forecast light rain and snowfall at some places in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while the weather is expected to remain cold and dry in most districts of Punjab.

However, the weather is likely to remain cold and partly cloudy in Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas, where rain and light snowfall may also occur. Similarly, drizzle has been forecast at a few places in Multan, Jhang, Sargodha, and Faisalabad.

The weather has also been predicted to remain cold and dry in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while severe cold is likely in the mountainous areas of the province. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and light snowfall are expected at a few places in Chitral, Dir, Kohistan, and Kalam. In addition, light rain and snowfall have been predicted at some places in Swat, Kurram, and Waziristan.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain cold and dry in most districts of Sindh. The weather is expected to remain cold and partly cloudy in most districts of Balochistan, while light rain and light snowfall have been predicted in the areas of Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Chaman, and Pishin in northern Balochistan.

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperatures recorded this morning were 6 in Muzaffarabad, 9 in Islamabad, 11 in Lahore, 18 in Karachi, 8 in Peshawar, 2 in Quetta, 0 in Murree, and 3 in Gilgit.
