Dr. Afia Siddique nephew killed in Houston

TEXAS: Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s nephew, Emad Yusuf Siddiqui, aged 18, died when unknown gunmen shot him in Houston, Texas.

Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist, faces a lengthy prison term in the United States because of his terrorism-related convictions. The family of Siddiqui stated that Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s nephew died when three unknown gunmen shot him in Houston on Thursday night.

The funeral prayers for Emad Siddiqui will take place today at Masjid Sabrain after the Zuhr prayers, which many people plan to attend. The incident took place in Alton when unknown attackers shot Imad Siddiqui during an attempted carjacking and escaped from the location.

The attackers traveled in a Chrysler vehicle, according to reports. Local authorities are conducting an investigation that has produced CCTV footage that assists in identifying the suspects, while police execute raids to capture them.

The Pasadena Police Department is conducting active operations to catch the suspects by executing raids at different locations. The Pakistani community in the United States experienced shock from the killing, which created demands for an investigation that should proceed with full transparency.

Dr Afia Siddiqui currently serves an 86-year prison term because of terrorism-related offenses, which include his attempt to attack U.S. personnel stationed in Afghanistan. Her case has attracted considerable international attention because people across Pakistan and the world continue to debate her treatment and conviction.
