According to the government announcement, it was earlier decided to open all government and private schools from June 12, however, due to administrative reasons and continuous holidays, the new date has been set to June 15. After this decision, students and parents will get additional time before the start of academic activities.
The administration says that June 13 is the second weekly holiday of the month, while June 14 was a Sunday, so there were two consecutive holidays. Keeping this situation in mind, it was decided to postpone the reopening of schools to June 15.
The education department clarified that in order to keep the academic calendar balanced, July 11, which will be the second weekly holiday, will be declared a working day instead of the holiday on June 13.
