LONDON: India is involved in terrorism in Pakistan. The British newspaper has exposed that Indian agencies under the supervision of Narendra Modi are carrying out target killings in Pakistan.

According to the Guardian, Indian agencies have targeted 20 people in Pakistan since 2020, and Indian agency RAW is working through its sleeper cells in Dubai.

Indian intelligence agency RAW is directly controlled by the office of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi, who is running for a third term this month.

Interviews with intelligence officials bolster allegations that India has pursued a policy of targeting figures abroad it considers hostile to India.

Although the new charges are related to the killing of people accused of violent extremism and terrorism, the US and Canada have openly accused India of being involved in the killing of dissidents, including Sikh separatists. I

The latest allegations relate to the killing of 20 people by unknown gunmen in Pakistan since 2020.

While India has not previously been officially held responsible for the killings, this is the first time Indian intelligence officials have spoken about the operations carried out in Pakistan, and detailed documents seen by the Guardian show there are allegations of direct involvement of Ra in these killings.

According to Pakistani investigators, Ra’s sleeper cells, which were being operated on from abroad, were behind the killings.

The increase in such killings in 2023 was attributed to the increased activities of sleeper cells, who allegedly paid local criminals or poor Pakistanis to carry out such killings.

Indian intelligence officials also reportedly recruited jihadists for such killings in Pakistan and convinced them that they were killing infidels.

According to two Indian intelligence officers, the focus on RAW’s policy of eliminating separatists abroad came after the 2019 Pulwama attack, in which 40 Indian soldiers were killed by a suicide bomber. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Pakistani militant organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.

At that time, Modi was contesting for a second term.

An Indian intelligence official told the Guardian that the approach changed after the Pulwama attack, and the decision was made to target elements abroad before they could strike or cause disruption.

We could not stop these attacks because the safe havens of the attackers were in Pakistan. So we had to target their source.

He said that approval of such an operation is required at the highest level.

According to the RAW officer, the agency started such operations under the influence of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad and the Russian agency KGB.
