TEHRAN: Iran has claimed that it has shot down a US F-18 fighter jet, but the US military has completely rejected this claim.

According to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the US warplane was successfully shot down, while Iranian state media has also released a video as proof of this claim. This video is also being shared widely on social media.

On the other hand, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has strongly rejected this claim, saying that there was no incident of Iran targeting any US aircraft.

US officials say that such claims may be part of an information war, in which false or unverified videos and news are spread to influence public opinion.

According to experts, the current war is not limited to the battlefield, but is now being fought on the information front as well, where both sides are claiming their successes.

It should be noted that this video has not been independently verified, while military tensions, attacks, and statements continue in the region.
