Iranian Army chief Gen Abdolrahim Mousavi killed in US‑Israel strikes

TEHRAN: Iran’s state news agency IRNA has confirmed that Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasserzadeh and Army Chief of Staff Abdolrahim Mousavi were killed in US and Israeli strikes on Iran on Saturday.

According to Iranian officials, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, his security adviser Ali Shamkhani and the head of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Mohammad Pakpour were also targeted in the attacks.

It should be noted that 201 Iranian citizens were martyred and 747 were injured in US and Israeli strikes on 24 provinces of Iran.
