ISLAMABAD: Minister of Interior of Iran Eskandar Momeni has arrived in Islamabad on Monday on a visit with a high-level delegation.
The Iranian Interior Minister was received by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, state media reported.
Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, and Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, were also present during the event.
As per the itinerary of the visit, the Iranian Interior Minister is expected to meet the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, and the Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Momeni, who is heading a high-level delegation, is accompanied by the Governor General of Sistan and Baluchestan, Deputy Minister of Interior, Deputy Minister of Urban Development and Transport, Head of the National Iranian Oil Company, Special Representative of the Minister of Agriculture and other officials.
Mohsin Naqvi, Interior Minister of Pakistan, expressed his hopes that the visit of the Iranian Minister brings some good news for both nations.
