Putin offers mediation as Masoud Pezeshkian discusses Middle East peace efforts

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin says he is ready to help in peace efforts in the Middle East.

According to Russian media, President Putin spoke by telephone with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Peshkerian. They discussed the US-Iran talks in Islamabad.

President Putin said he is ready to help in peace efforts in the Middle East. A diplomatic solution to the Middle East conflict must be found, and Moscow is ready to mediate to establish lasting peace.
