DOHA: Qatari helicopter crashes into sea after technical failure.

The Qatari Ministry of Defense confirmed on Sunday that a helicopter crashed in the country’s territorial waters due to a technical failure during a routine duty.

According to the ministry, a rescue operation has been launched to search for the crew members.

No other cause of the crash other than a technical failure was immediately identified and there is no indication that the crash was the result of any hostile action.

It should be noted that the incident occurred at a time of increased tension in the region.

Qatar has been facing drone and missile attacks from Iran since the start of joint US-Israeli attacks on Iran since February 28.
