ISLAMABAD: In another diplomatic failure for India, the neighbouring country failed to name Pakistan for the recent attack in Pahalgham in Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
After facing failure at the SCO summit, India approached the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD), which includes the United States, Australia, Japan, and India, to name Pakistan for the attack, but miserably failed in achieving its target.
The U.S. State Department Statement released after the July 2 ministerial meeting in Washington jointly condemned terrorism but refused to name Pakistan.
However, the statement called upon the United Nations member countries to work with “relevant authorities” in bringing the perpetrators to justice
Moreover, this is not the First time that India has failed to include the name of Pakistan in the terrorism incident in India.
Earlier, the Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh refused to sign the joint communique of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on Thursday.
The refusal came when there was no mention of the Pahalgam attack in the joint communique, as per the reports.
Pakistan, China and Russia were among the other members who attended the meeting held in Qingdao, China.
Defence Minister Khwaja Asif put forward Pakistan’s stance at the summit. It is the first time since the recent escalation by Pakistan and India, where two high-level officials participated in the same event.
However, the Indian defence czar refuses to sign the joint statement due to no mention of the recent Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
