TEHRAN: After the US attack, Iran also retaliated and claimed to have targeted the US air base.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards have claimed that the US air base was targeted in response to the US attacks on Bandar Abbas. According to the Revolutionary Guards, this action was taken against the air base that was being used to attack Iranian targets. The statement said that no aggression will go unanswered and if there is an attack in the future, it will be met with a decisive response.
On the other hand, according to Arab media reports, the US military had previously bombed near Bandar Abbas airport. US officials claimed that the US military had carried out new attacks on a military installation in the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas.
US officials described the location as a threat to their military and commercial ships, saying that the aim of the attacks was to eliminate the threat posed to US forces and commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The US military also shot down several Iranian drones.
US officials claimed that Iran fired 4 drones at the US merchant ship, but the US military shot down all the Iranian drones. The ship was near the Strait of Hormuz at the time of the attack.
