Saudi Arabia announces new Umrah season 1448 AH schedule

RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the schedule for the new Umrah season 1448 AH, after which important dates have been revealed for pilgrims from all over the world wishing to perform Umrah.

According to the details released by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the issuance of Umrah visas will start from May 31, while pilgrims will be able to obtain Umrah permits from June 1 through the Nasik app. Through the Nasik app, pilgrims will be provided with access to Umrah bookings, obtaining permits and other necessary facilities.

According to the report, the last date for obtaining visas for the new Umrah season has been set as March 9, 2027. Similarly, the last date for entry of Umrah pilgrims into Saudi Arabia will be March 23, 2027. According to the authorities, Umrah pilgrims have been given until April 7, 2027 to return and depart from Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says that arrangements are being made to provide better facilities to pilgrims with the start of the new season. According to officials, providing facilities to Umrah pilgrims in an organized manner, controlling the rush and creating ease during worship is the top priority.

On the other hand, the Saudi Supreme Court has officially announced the sighting of the moon of Dhul-Hijjah. According to the announcement, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia on May 27, while the first of Dhul-Hijjah will be on May 18. Similarly, the important part of Hajj, the Wukuf Arafa, will be performed on May 26.

Currently, thousands of Pakistani pilgrims are busy in Hajj worship and preparations for Hajj in Mecca. A large number of Pakistani pilgrims are engaged in prayers, Tawaf and other worship in the Haram Sharif. On the other hand, the transfer of Pakistani pilgrims to Mecca from Medina is also ongoing.
