UAE: The United Arab Emirates has imposed an immediate ban on its citizens’ travel to Iran, Lebanon and Iraq in view of the ongoing tense situation in the region.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on social media that the decision was made keeping in mind the current regional developments and security situation.
Authorities have instructed citizens to return immediately if they are in these countries and avoid unnecessary travel.
The statement further said that the government gives top priority to the safety of its citizens and these precautionary measures have been taken with this in mind.
According to diplomatic sources, various countries are reviewing their travel policies due to the increasing tension in the region. This decision may also have an impact on travel and diplomatic activities in the region.
