WASHINGTON: The US has bombed Iran for the second day in a row, targeting Sirik, Bandar-e-Langa and Qeshm Island. The operation was carried out after a drone attack on a commercial ship near the Strait of Hormuz.

The US Central Command has said that the military has carried out fresh air strikes on 10 targets in Iran, including several military targets, on the instructions of President Donald Trump.

Centcom said that Iran was given a chance to comply with the agreement after the attack on the Singapore merchant ship, but Iran violated the agreement and carried out a unilateral drone attack.

The Iranian drone also targeted a Panamanian oil tanker with a drone, while the tanker filled with 2 million barrels of oil was near the Strait of Hormuz at the time of the Iranian attack.
