US claims major blow to Iran, warns of more attacks

WASHINGTON: The White House spokesperson has said that if Iran does not admit defeat, Trump is ready to inflict further damage on them.

White House spokesperson Caroline Lutet said in a press briefing that 9,000 targets were hit in Operation Epic Fury, 90 percent of Iran’s missiles and drones were shot down, more than 140 Iranian ships were destroyed, the first time a navy has been destroyed to this extent since World War II.

The White House spokesperson said that if Iran does not admit defeat, more severe attacks will be carried out, President Trump does not make threats, Iran should not make wrong guesses.

He said that last time, Iran’s leadership, navy, and air force were all eliminated for making wrong guesses, now the war will be because Iran refuses to understand, fuel prices will decrease when the Iran war ends.

The White House spokesperson was asked about the news of JD Vance‘s visit to Pakistan and meeting with Iranian officials, to which she said that the situation is still unstable, that no meeting should be considered final until the White House makes an official announcement, that she cannot say who is negotiating with Iran, that JD Vance has been involved in the discussions related to Iran.

Caroline Lutt said that the process of negotiations with Iran is ongoing, that President Trump considers diplomacy as the first option before military action, that President Trump is not afraid of using force but considers diplomacy as the first option, that if necessary, Iran could face “20 times” more severe attacks, that all options related to Iran are still on the table.

The White House spokesperson said that the US President will meet the Chinese President in Beijing on May 14 and 15, and that the date of the Chinese President’s visit to Washington this year will be announced soon.
