MG4 EV Urban Introduces Advanced Safety and Practical Family EV Features in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: MG Motor Pakistan has unveiled the all-new MG4 EV Urban, a modern electric hatchback that places strong focus on safety, technology, electric range, and practical everyday driving.

While electric performance and range are important for any EV buyer, safety remains one of the most critical factors for Pakistani consumers, especially families. The MG4 EV Urban brings a comprehensive package of driver assistance and visibility features designed to support safer and more confident urban driving.

The vehicle comes equipped with MG Pilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, offering a range of intelligent safety technologies. These include Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Keep Assist. Together, these features are designed to support the driver in everyday situations, from busy city roads to longer commutes.

One of the standout features is the 540-degree HD camera system, which includes 360-degree visibility along with transparent chassis view. This is particularly useful in urban environments where tight parking spaces, narrow roads, and heavy traffic often require greater awareness around the vehicle.

Beyond its safety package, the MG4 EV Urban also delivers strong EV usability. It is powered by a 43-kWh battery paired with a front-wheel-drive electric motor producing 110 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque. The vehicle offers up to 316 km WLTP range on a single charge, supporting daily commutes, family trips, and routine urban movement.

For charging, the MG4 EV Urban supports both AC and DC charging, giving customers the flexibility to charge according to their convenience. DC fast charging enables the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes, while AC charging offers a practical solution for regular charging routines.

In line with the family-focused positioning of the MG4 Urban, MG Shield – the exclusive partner of MG JW – is adding a meaningful protection benefit for eligible customers. Women customers, or spouses of male customers, will receive complimentary breast cancer treatment coverage of up to PKR 2 million with MG Shield motor insurance/takaful.

The interior also offers a modern, spacious, and connected experience. Features include a 12.8-inch HD infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats, and wireless charging. The spacious cabin supports passenger comfort, while the practical trunk space can accommodate family luggage and daily essentials.

Globally, the MG4 has achieved strong success, with more than 200,000 units sold worldwide. Its introduction in Pakistan brings a globally recognized EV platform to consumers seeking a safer, smarter, and more practical electric hatchback.
