CHILAS: Unofficial provisional results of all 42 polling stations of GBA-16 Diamer 2 of Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly have been received, according to which independent candidate Imam Malik was in first place with 6,320 votes.
According to unofficial results, Pakistan Peoples Party candidate Attaullah was in second place with 6,296 votes and was defeated by a narrow margin of only 24 votes.
PML-N candidate Engineer M Anwar was in third place with 5,557 votes. Form 47 of GBA-16 Diamer 2 has also been released by the Returning Officer and Assistant Commissioner Chilas.
According to Form 47, the total number of registered voters in the constituency was 46,282, while the number of votes cast was 23,993. According to the Election Commission, voter turnout in the constituency was recorded at 51.84 percent.
According to the results, 31 votes were declared rejected (excluded) during the counting of votes. It should be noted that the PPP is in first place with 9 seats, while independent candidates are in second place with six seats. The PML-N is in third place with three seats.
