KARACHI: The sale of motorcycles and three-wheelers in the country has recorded an increase on an annual basis during the current fiscal year.
According to the statistics of the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association, 747,738 units of motorcycles were sold in the first five months of the fiscal year, which is 33 percent more than the 563,207 units in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
In November, 163,007 units of motorcycles were sold in the country, which is one percent more than the 161,607 units in October and 39 percent more than the 117,340 units in November last year.
According to the statistics, 15,040 units of three-wheelers were sold in the first five months of the fiscal year, which is one percent more than the 14,957 units in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Sales of 2,746 units of three-wheelers were recorded in November, which is 29 percent lower than the 3,876 units in October and 13 percent lower than the 3,144 units in November last year.
