Behbood Savings Certificates 2025: Check latest profit rate for January

ISLAMABAD: National Savings, also known as Qaumi Bachat , revised the rate of return on Behbood Savings Certificates (BSCs) amid falling inflation and encouraging economic signs.

The reduction was due to falling inflation and positive indicators.

The rate of return on investment certificates was reduced by 0.24 percent, effective from November 4, 2024, meaning investors will receive less return than the current month.

People can purchase National Savings Welfare Savings Certificates from any nearby branch of National Savings Bank across Pakistan.

Launched in 2003, Behbood Savings Certificates is a financial scheme that caters to the needs of widows, senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

Initially designed for widows and elderly in 2003, the scheme was extended to persons with disabilities and special minors (through guardians) in 2004.

Offering investment options from Rs. 5,000 to a maximum of 75 lakhs, as they provide a safe and profitable way to save. Investors benefit from monthly dividend payments that are deposited directly into their linked savings account.

Behbood Savings Certificates are available in denominations of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 10,000, Rs. 50,000, Rs. 100,000, Rs. 500,000 and Rs. 1,000,000.

Certificates Profit 2025

The profit rates on Bahbood certificates were updated by Qaumi Bachat Bank in November 2024, and as of January 2025, they remain unchanged.

The profit rates on Behbood Savings Certificates have been set at 13.92 percent, or Rs1,160, for every Rs100,000 invested.

Recall that the profit made on Bahbood Certificates is not subject to withholding tax. Additionally, the certificate is not subject to zakat collection.

Investment Limit

The maximum investment amount for an individual is Rs7.5 million, while the maximum for joint investors is Rs15 million.
