KARACHI: Retail cement prices in the country remained stable during the past week.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price of cement per sack in the northern cities of the country in the week ending November 6 was recorded at Rs1,361, which is 0.20 percent lower than the previous week.
The average retail price of cement per sack in the country’s northern cities the previous week was recorded at Rs1,364.
Similarly, the average retail price of cement per sack in the southern cities of the country in the week ending November 6 was recorded at Rs1,441, the same as the previous week.
According to the statistics, in the week ending November 6, the average retail price of cement per sack was recorded in Islamabad at Rs 1345, Rawalpindi at Rs 1346, Gujranwala at Rs 1400, Sialkot at Rs 1350, Lahore at Rs 1410, Faisalabad at Rs 1350, Sargodha at Rs 1360, Multan at Rs 1378, Bahawalpur at Rs 1400, Peshawar at Rs 1337 and Bannu at Rs 1300.
Similarly, in Karachi, the average retail price of cement per sack during the last week was recorded at Rs 1369, Hyderabad at Rs 1427, Sukkur at Rs 1500, Larkana at Rs 1407, Quetta at Rs 1500, and Khuzdar at Rs 1443.
