Chicken prices decreased massively in Lahore, Punjab: Check latest rates here

LAHORE: Recently, the price of chicken in the city of Lahore in Punjab has decreased, due to which the overall inflation has decreased.

Over the weekend, the cost of chicken in Lahore, Rawalpindi and various other cities in Punjab decreased to Rs519 per kilogram.

Last week the price of chicken was Rs 550 per kg. Now the official rates are listed at Rs 519 per kg, but many poultry shops are selling meat at around Rs 550 per kg.

Chicken is generally cheap, and its price varies based on a number of factors including supply and demand. The prices of chicken are monitored by the Lahore district government.

Live Broiler (per kilogram) sold wholesale: Rs. 330
Live Broiler (per kilogram) sold in retail: Rs. 344
Broiler Meat (per kilogram) sold in retail: Rs. 519
Eggs from farms (per packet): Rs. 9390
These prices reflect the current market rates in the poultry industry.

Wholesale prices in Lahore

Live broiler chickens are now selling at Rs 330 per kilogram in the wholesale market, with the retail price standing at Rs 344 per kilogram. Meanwhile, broiler meat is being sold at Rs 519 per kilogram in retail outlets, reflecting the current market trends in the poultry industry.

Egg prices have also remained high, with a standard farm packet of eggs now costing Rs 9,390, further contributing to the financial strain on households.
