ISLAMABAD: The city markets and Ramadan bazaars face ongoing inflation problems. Broiler chicken meat prices increased by 7 rupees for each kilogram, which now costs 504 rupees per kilogram.
The farm rate for live broilers is 320 rupees per kilogram, the wholesale price is 334 rupees per kilogram, and the retail price has been set at 348 rupees per kilogram.
Experts say that during the month of Ramadan, rising demand and reduced supply are causing continuous price increases, putting a financial burden on ordinary citizens.
The Market Committee has also warned consumers to avoid paying inflated prices and to purchase only from authorized shops.
The report shows that salaried workers experience the highest inflation impact, while middle-class people reduce their necessary expenditures to control their household budgets.
Experts warn that if this trend continues, purchasing power may further decline in the coming months.
