Crude oil prices plunge over 6% after Iran’s missile attack on US base in Qatar

ISLAMABAD: The price of crude oil in the global market has fallen by more than 6 percent after Iran attacked a US military base in Qatar.

US crude oil WTI is selling for $69.17 per barrel after a decrease of $3.32 per barrel.

British crude oil Brent oil is selling for $72.17 per barrel after a decrease of $6.28 per barrel.

It should be noted that Iran has fired ballistic missiles at US bases in Qatar and Iraq.

According to the US news website, Iran fired 6 ballistic missiles towards Qatar.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry said in its statement that Qatar had evacuated the US Al-Udeid military base as a precautionary security measure. Qatar claimed that its air defense system had destroyed a missile fired towards the US Al-Udeid air base.

Qatar condemned the Iranian missile attack on a US military base and said that Qatar reserves the right to respond to the attack. Qatar further stated that no casualties were reported in the Iranian missile attack on the US base.
