Expected petrol & diesel prices in Pakistan from January 16, 2025

Iranian petrol price surges in Balochistan amid border business closure

ISLAMABAD: The prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are expected to increase again due to the increase in oil prices in the global market.

As per the media reports, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has received proposals for pricing based on international market trends. According to estimates, the price of petrol may increase by up to Rs. 3.50 per litre, high-speed diesel by Rs. 3.70 per litre, light diesel oil by Rs. 5 per litre, and kerosene by Rs. 6 per litre.

OGRA will finalize the new prices on January 15, which will be approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Ministry of Finance will issue an official notification, and the revised prices will be effective from January 16 to January 31, 2025.
