FBR seizes over two dozen vehicles in Rs 26bn Bahria Town tax case

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) Large Taxpayer Office (LTO) Islamabad has launched a significant enforcement action in a Rs 26 billion tax recovery case involving Bahria Town, sources confirmed on Sunday.

According to insider reports, the LTO seized more than two dozen vehicles and motorcycles worth millions of rupees from Bahria Town as part of its ongoing recovery drive.

Officials said the seized assets will be auctioned after completing the legal process, and the proceeds will be deposited into the national treasury.

Sources further revealed that this is not the first such action by the FBR. In a previous operation, the tax authority auctioned a plot located on Club Road in Bahria Town, generating Rs 2.5 billion, which was also added to the national treasury.

The latest move indicates a strong push by the FBR to enforce tax compliance and recover outstanding dues from major taxpayers.
