Federal govt decides to increase housing rent of employees by 85 percent

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to increase the housing rent of government employees by 85 percent.

The Ministry of Finance has approved the increase in the housing rent allowance. The summary will be presented in the federal cabinet meeting for final approval.

The increase in the house rent allowance will be for employees from grades 1 to 22.

The increase will be applicable to permanent and contract government employees.

According to sources from the Ministry of Finance, the increase will be applicable to the current basic salary.

The current allowance was being given on the basic salary of 2008.

Earlier, the Sindh government had decided to give advance salary and pension to Hindu employees on the occasion of Diwali.

According to the notification, the provincial government has also decided to give advance salary and pension to Hindu employees.

Hindu employees will be paid their salary and pension by October 15 instead of November 1.
