ISLAMABAD: The country has witnessed a rise in food prices once again, which has further increased the hardships of the people.
According to the details, the prices of first-class ghee and cooking oil have been increased by Rs 3 per kilogram, after which their new price has reached Rs 598 per kilogram/liter.
Similarly, the price of sunflower cooking oil has also increased to a record high of Rs 618, which is severely affecting the household budget. On the other hand, the prices of flour are also continuing to increase.
Last week, the price of a 10 to 20 kilogram bag of flour was recorded to increase by Rs 120 to 200, which has further distressed the common consumers. According to experts, the continuous increase in the prices of essential commodities is making daily life more difficult for the common man, while the citizens have demanded immediate relief measures from the government.
