ISLAMABAD: Gold prices witnessed a sharp decline in both local and international markets on Tuesday, a day after posting gains.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs4,300 to Rs427,436, while the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs3,687 to Rs366,457.
Silver prices also moved lower, with the price of silver per tola dropping by Rs174 to Rs6,223.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce declined by $43 to $4,050, contributing to the downward trend in domestic gold prices.
