KARACHI: Gold and silver prices declined in both international and local bullion markets on Thursday after a four-day break, following a fall in global precious metal rates.
According to market data, the price of gold in the international bullion market dropped by $18 per ounce to $4,096.
Reflecting the global trend, the price of 24-karat gold per tola in Pakistan decreased by Rs1,800 to Rs432,036, while the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs1,543 to Rs370,401.
Silver prices also registered a decline. In the international market, the price of silver fell by 33 cents per ounce to $58.91.
In the local bullion market, the price of silver per tola dropped by Rs33 to Rs6,370, while the price of 10 grams of silver declined by Rs28 to Rs5,461.
The decline in domestic bullion prices follows the downward trend in international precious metal markets.
