ISLAMABAD: The federal government is likely to announce a reduction in fuel prices effective June 1, aiming to provide relief ti the public, according to media reports.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures dropped 12 cents, or 0.19%, to $64.62 per barrel in early trading on Tuesday, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 15 cents, or 0.24%, to $61.38 per barrel.
The recent fall in global oil prices has not been mirrored by a similar reduction in Pakistan’s domestic fuel rate, causing a reason to criticism of the government by the Public.
