IMF urges Pakistan to publicize govt employees' assets

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that the IMF has asked to reveal the assets of government employees.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said while talking that legislation has been made to make the assets of government employees public. And the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has asked to reveal the assets of government employees. Which is not an additional condition but a practical step.

He said that next year’s budget will not be made by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) but by the policy makers. Every sector should export, we are here to serve. And the formal sector has said that it should go after the non-compliant sector.

Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the private sector has to lead the country. And creating jobs is not the job of the government but of the private sector. Out of the 8 groups of NFC, 2 are with the federation and 6 are with the provinces.

He said that like the Karachi Chamber, a research cell will also be set up in Lahore. While the auction of the national airline will be held on December 23.
