ISLAMABAD: Despite the government’s reduction in the price of petrol, the public continues to be burdened by the heavy burden of levy and various margins.
According to documents, the ex-refinery price of one liter of petrol is Rs 235.37 paise, while the price of petrol for consumers has been fixed at Rs 377.78 paise per liter.
According to official documents, a total levy of Rs 142.41 paise and various margins are being collected on one liter of petrol and this is the reason why the full relief could not be passed on to the consumers.
