National Savings revises profits rates for January 2026

Govt revises National Savings profit rates

ISLAMABAD: The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) has adjusted the profit rates of its various savings schemes with effect from January 5, 2026.

As per the recent announcement, the profit rate on Defence Savings Certificates (DSC) has been lowered to 11.08 percent, which is a reduction of 23 basis points.

The profit rates on Behbood Savings Certificates (BSC), Pensioners Benefit Accounts (PBA), and Shuhada Family Welfare Accounts (SFWA) have also been reduced by 24 basis points, and now the annual interest rate is 12.48 percent.

The profit rate on Regular Income Certificates (RIC) has been raised by 36 basis points to 10.56 percent per annum. Profit rates for Special Savings Certificates (SSC) and Special Savings Accounts (SSA) have been increased by 40 basis points, now yielding 11 percent per annum.

The Sarwa Islamic Term Account (SITA) has been raised by 4 basis points and presently offers 9.96 percent per annum. The Sarwa Islamic Savings Account (SISA) also shares the same annual return of 9.96 percent.
